a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Repin Salam, revealed on Saturday the content of a message his party delivered to Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.
Salam said in an interview with / Mawazine News / that "days before assigning Allawi, we sent a message to Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi about the constitutional demands of the Kurdistan region regarding rights, financial benefits, the budget, and others."
He added that "Allawi replied that these are constitutional and legal demands, and they are the rights of the Kurdish people, as it is an integral part of the Iraqi people, and therefore his leadership of the government means the continuation of all previous agreements with the government of Abdul-Mahdi and will not change anything at all."
