Shafak News / On Wednesday, Iraqi Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zorfi discussed with the ambassadors of the permanent members of the UN Security Council the "challenges" he faces in forming the new Iraqi government.
A statement of the Al-Zorfi office reported to Shafaq News, that "the latter met this Wednesday at his headquarters in the capital Baghdad, ambassadors of the permanent members of the UN Security Council each of Russia, China, France, the United States of America and Britain, and the meeting dealt with a series of crises facing Iraq, countries of the region and the world against the background Health risks due to the spread of the Corona epidemic, and economic because of the collapse of oil prices in the global market, and the future of international relations due to the serious repercussions of these two challenges. "
The statement added that " the meeting examined the political situation in Iraq and what each mechanism under the delay in forming the government," pointing out that "Zurfi presented to the ambassadors of the five vision towards the formation of a national government representing all the Iraqi spectrum, are efficient and the ability to cope with internal crises and external responsibility.
He stressed Al-Zarfi according to the statement on the "necessity of responding to the demands of demonstrators and sit-ins in the cities of central and southern Iraq, and holding early free and fair elections in cooperation with the United Nations, which included a fair and transparent representation of all components without exclusion or marginalization, eliminating armed manifestations and restricting arms to the state in a manner that preserves Prestige and safeguard the sovereignty of Iraq. "
