US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said on Wednesday that the economy will be slowly reopening, and he warned that waiting too long threatened severe economic damage.
"We will open the economy slowly," Manuchin said in an interview with Fox News.
"But there is also the risk of waiting too long. There is a risk of destroying the American economy and the health effect it causes."
The minister said he expected the second quarter to be "very bad", but if the economy were to reopen safely, the next quarters would be better, and next year "our economy will return great again."
