On Saturday, Representative of the Future Parliamentary Bloc, Sercut Shams El-Din, called for an urgent intervention to stop the Asayish arrests of teachers after they left a demonstration in Dohuk Governorate.
Shams al-Din said in a statement received / information /: “We, as members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, warn of steps that may be disturbing and dangerous [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]  of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Dohuk Governorate, as a group of teachers and activists calling for peace this day agreed May 16, 2020 with a demonstration Peaceful to demand their stolen rights, but by order of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government (Masroor Barzani) security forces assaulted the demonstrators and detained dozens of them.
He added that "the Asayish forces affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party continue to date with acts of violence against protesters, given that the arrest and detention orders were not issued by the judicial authorities."
And Shams Al-Din held, "The head of the provincial government, Masroor Al-Barazani, protests the safety of the demonstrators and the preservation of their lives. 25 h finished
