    , Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naeem Al-Ghazi, confirmed today, Monday, that the e-governance project will contribute to dismantling corruption networks.
    The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naeem Al-Ghazi chaired the meeting on coordinating and managing government activity towards electronic governance," noting that "the meeting discussed the topics on its agenda, which included : Completing the discussions of the previous session, and supporting e-governance projects in Iraq in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program.
    According to the statement, the Secretary-General said, "The Iraqi government attaches great importance to the governance project, as it will contribute to modernizing the work of state institutions, developing their performance, as well as eliminating red tape and controlling data, and dismantling corruption networks."

    She added, "The recommendations of the meeting concluded that the Ministry of Communications should complete the linking of ministries and provide the committee with a periodic report on the work of the Internet in Iraq, with the completion of procedures for standardizing the employee number and the national number, and confirming the link between departments and departments of information technology in the ministries with the office of the minister or the head of the higher authority. .
    It is noteworthy that the aforementioned committee was formed according to Diwani Order 22 of 2020.
