Head of the Sunni Endowment Bureau, Saad Kampash, conveyed, on Friday, two messages from Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and Speaker of Parliament Muhammad Rikan Al-Halbousi to Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb containing an invitation to him to visit Iraq, as well as the pride of the Iraqi government and people in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif history, influence and prestigious status Among Muslims.
A statement of the Sunni Endowment (Mawazine News) received a copy of it, "The Chief of the Court handed to Sheikh Al-Tayyeb two written letters from Al-Kazemi and Al-Halbousi renewing the invitation to his honor to visit Iraq, the cradle of prophethood, the land of civilizations and messages, and the resting place of the Companions and the honorable family of the House, may God be pleased with them.
The Sheikh of Al-Azhar expressed his "overwhelming happiness that these two messages contained deep connotations and sincerity of the noble feelings towards the noble Al-Azhar. He welcomed the generous call," stressing that he is "in constant longing and longing that will not be lost to Iraq and its honorable people."
The statement added, "The meeting dealt with the file of Iraqi students on scholarships for preliminary and postgraduate studies at Al-Azhar University and discussed it in all its aspects, expanding acceptance, and the Sunni Endowment Office guaranteeing students' expenses and meeting their needs, and the two parties also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Al-Azhar Sheikhdom and the Sunni Endowment Office."
The meeting was attended by the Iraqi ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt Ahmed Nayef, Director General of the Department of Religious Education and Islamic Studies Rabah Al Jaafar, Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department Mahmoud Nouri Al-Hatami, and a number of personalities from Al-Azhar and the Sunni Endowment Office.
