    Member of Parliament Jamal al-Muhammadawi called, on Wednesday, to complete the transactions of those affected by the late March uprising more than nine years ago, while he called for expediting the fairness of this segment.
    Al-Muhammadawi said in a statement that the information received, a copy of it, “Today the twenty-second anniversary of the March 17 popular uprising passes on us today in the conscience of the Iraqi people, which requires us to remember it with all honor, appreciation and fairness, and to draw lessons and lessons from the sacrifices of the heroes of this memory, whose first spark was sparked. In the province of Basra, Al-Faiha, after the martyrdom of the great authority, Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr and his two oppressed sons, at the hands of the buried Saddam regime in 1999 AD, which was called at the time (Zero Hour).
    He added, “But because of this blessed uprising’s heroic role in the collapse of the buried Ba’ath regime and the suffering of the people of Basra from the revolutionaries and their families, the ravages of suffering, abuse, demolition of houses and detention, but after more than 22 years have passed, the voice of the victims and torturers still did not reach the officials’ ears to accomplish Their compensatory dealings ”.
    He continued, "We have repeatedly stressed on previous occasions the necessity of fairness for this segment, just as their peers from the victims of the defunct regimes, as until now, only a few of them have received the entitlement guaranteed by Law No. 16 of 2010 in a manner that guarantees fairness and facilitation of procedures."
    Al-Muhammadawi indicated that “he is following up the application of the law to complete the transactions of those affected who did not receive their entitlements after more than 22 years, and it became clear through these follow-ups that the main reason for the delay in completing the transactions is the inability of the Central Committee for the application of Law No. (60) to convene due to not naming The representative of the Kurdistan region in this committee after he was retired, what caused the committee’s work to be obstructed and caused a large segment of those covered by the provisions of the law to be deprived of obtaining their rights despite the passage of a group of (5-9 years) transactions that were not completed.
    He demanded, "the regional government to expedite the nomination of its representative as soon as possible, and in the event that the nomination of a representative from the region is not answered, we call on the Ministry of Finance to amend the instructions for the work of the committee to allow it to hold its meetings regardless of the nomination of the representative of the region or not." End / 25
