Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Hoshyar Zebari on July 9, 2014, in the office of the ministry Archbishop Giorgio Lingua ambassador to the Holy See (Vatican) in Iraq.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation of Christians in Iraq in light of the recent terrorist attacks and the developments of the security situation in the country and the government's efforts in the fight against terrorism, the Minister stressed the government's keenness on the safety and security of all its citizens.
The meeting was attended by Undersecretary for bilateral relations and Chairman of the Department of Europe
