    The Association of Animal Products Exporters announced, on Sunday, that Iraq came first in importing animal products from Turkey in the first quarter of 2021.
    "Turkey's exports of aquaculture and animal products increased by 12.45 percent in the period from January to March of this year compared to the same period of the same period," said the head of the Aquaculture and Animal Products Exporters Association in Istanbul, Majdat Sezer. The previous year, which amounted to 674 million dollars. "
    He added, "The first five sectors in the aquaculture and animal products sector, to which most exports were from January to March of 2021, were fish products with 304 million dollars, poultry meat 135 million dollars, and 84 eggs." One million dollars, milk and dairy products 80.6 million dollars, and natural honey 63 million dollars. " 
    Sezer pointed out that "most of these exports from the aquaculture sector and animal products go to Iraq with a value of $ 92 million, followed by Russia with $ 57 million, Italy $ 39 million, Germany $ 29 million, and the Netherlands $ 28 million respectively," pointing out that "Iraq recorded a significant decrease in imports of these materials during this period compared to the same period last year."
    Iraq imports most of its agricultural and animal products from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, although the Ministry of Agriculture recently banned the import of some of these products.
