[size=45]Today, Monday, May 3, 2021, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received the President of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, leader of the (Progress) Party, Muhammad al-Halbousi and his accompanying delegation.[/size]
[size=45]During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the situation and its developments in Iraq and the region, especially preparations for the upcoming Iraqi elections and finding ways to hold free and fair elections that guarantee the rights and aspirations of the various Iraqi components.[/size]
[size=45]Emphasis was also placed on the need to fundamentally solve the outstanding problems between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government on the basis of the constitution.[/size]
[size=45]The meeting also dealt with the dangers posed by terrorism in general, especially the threats posed by ISIS in many areas of Iraq, and the real threat it poses to the lives of people, in addition to stressing the importance of security coordination between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army and uniting efforts and capabilities to confront terrorism and its threats.[/size]
