{Kurdistan: Al Furat News}, the General Directorate of Electricity Supply in Sulaymaniyah Governorate announced, Thursday, that the Ministry of Electricity is seeking to supply energy at a rate of 20 hours per day during the summer season, revealing a decline in electricity production due to low water levels in the Dokan Dam and Darbandikhan.

General Director Salar Hussain said in a press conference held today: “Last summer we were able to supply energy to citizens 20 hours a day, adding that: The citizens were currently provided with more than 20 hours, and we are working to ensure that the energy supply remains the same during the summer season. For the current year.
He added, "At the present time, two power stations are operating in the Dokan Dam and Darbandikhan, and due to the low water levels, it is not possible to produce energy as in previous years from the dams."
