    Baghdad -
The Parliamentary Economic Committee announced that the law on partnership between the public and private sectors is still in the process of studying despite the completion of 80% of it, and indicated that the obstacle standing in front of the law is how to preserve the assets of the state.
A member of the committee, Nada Shaker Jawdat, said in an interview with Al-Sabah newspaper, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Monday, that "meetings are still continuing with the Ministry of Planning, the Union of Contractors and many organizations as well as the Finance Committee, and important steps have been put in place in this law."
She emphasized that "the private sector has become a necessity, but first there must be security stability in order to implement this law and state assets must be protected."
She added that "only minor points of disagreement remain in the law in order to put the final touches on it," noting that "the main axis that everyone fears is (how to preserve the state's assets) and also to provide a service to the citizen with acceptable matters."
