[size=45]Al-Baldawi added, "Most of the members of the House of Representatives today are in favor of holding early elections, and supporting the Electoral Commission," noting that "there are many negatives in the event of postponing the elections, the most prominent of which is the desire of the Iraqi street towards holding them on time."[/size]
[size=45]The representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance indicated that “the government’s failure to abide by the timing of the elections will put it into political problems, in particular,” noting that “there are many political blocs that are constantly calling for the elections to be postponed.”[/size]
[size=45]He explained that "the blocs that demand the postponement of the elections are due to their loss of their constituency base and their lack of confidence in obtaining parliamentary seats in the next parliament," adding that "the blocs that demand the postponement are so that they do not have a specific time to hold the elections."[/size]
[size=45]According to Bashir al-Haddad, a member of the Presidency Council, no deputy has so far submitted a formal request to the House of Representatives to amend the election law, despite media statements by some individuals and parties demanding that.[/size]

[size=45]And regarding the possibility of fraud in the elections, Al-Hamidi pointed out that “all previous elections had recorded significant rates of fraud, therefore Parliament and political blocs in general categorically refuse to record any violation or vote fraud in these elections.”[/size]
[size=45]Al-Hamidi added, "The government does not have a strong quest to prevent fraud in the upcoming elections," considering that "there are many things that must be provided to prevent fraud through the presence of international monitoring and reliance on biometric voting and other methods."[/size]
[size=45]The Independent High Electoral Commission announced, last month, the exclusion of 20 candidates from running for the upcoming parliamentary elections, for violating the Iraqi Parliament elections law.[/size]

[size=45]In turn, political expert Saad Al-Zubaidi believes that "the issue of postponing the elections in Iraq is very relevant, especially since the voices calling for postponement have started to increase in recent times."[/size]
[size=45]Al-Zubaidi indicated, during his speech to (Al-Mada), that "there is a fear on the part of the ruling parties of losing the elections after the events that accompanied the popular demonstrations in Iraq," adding that "the postponement of the elections is in the interest of many political parties that received great support from before." some countries".[/size]
[size=45]The political expert explained, "The instability of Iraq is helpful to many countries that are working to export many goods, materials and even weapons," noting that "the postponement of the elections will be a justification for the return of popular protests in all provinces in Iraq."[/size]
[size=45]Al-Zubaidi added, "There are many political parties and blocs that want to postpone the elections because they bought their positions with millions of dollars, and therefore refuse to give them up easily," noting that "the current circumstances and data indicate the readiness of the High Electoral Commission to hold the parliamentary elections on schedule."[/size]
[size=45]The Iraqi President, Barham Salih, expressed his adherence to holding the elections on time and appealing to the people, while calling for fighting political money and corruption, considering at the same time that holding the elections on the specified date is a national entitlement and a popular demand.[/size]
[size=45]Earlier, the UN Security Council unanimously approved an Iraqi request to form a UN team to monitor the parliamentary elections next October.[/size]
