He added that "Resolution 160 placed good funding for it, and we are now seeking to invest it to make this issue a success," noting that "there is a plan to schedule time periods, and we are working to bring in financial allocations because it is the main reason for giving the Ministry flexibility to schedule this basket."

Al-Jubouri confirmed that "work on the electronic ration card project will be on the 20th of next June," noting that "the project will start from Najaf Governorate."
Coordination with the Ministry of Industry
The Minister of Commerce continued, "There is high coordination with the Ministry of Industry, and there are decisions in the Ministerial Economic Council urging support to the Ministry of Industry," explaining that "the General Company for Foodstuffs contracted with the Ministry of Industry, as all the quantities supplied are from industry."
Cooperation with the region regarding rationing vocabulary
And al-Jubouri said that "the issue of the ration card is a federal file, and therefore the Ministry of Commerce is responsible for allocating money and working with this file on all of Iraq."
Exhibition plans
He stated that "the Corona virus has greatly affected the issue of holding exhibitions and closed them for periods, but the General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services resumed its activity in coordination with the Ministry of Industry in the Made in Iraq exhibition, and there is a defense exhibition and a book fair."

The Minister of Commerce said that "he met two days ago with the head of the Investment Authority, and this file was discussed in detail, and we directed the formation of a central committee to review the laws that require the current investment stage."
central markets file
And the Minister of Commerce indicated that "the central markets exist, and the activities of the General Company for Central Markets returned during our tenure in the ministry, as they are defined by Law 128, which defined them with the procedures for dealing," noting that "there is a proposal raised by the company's board of directors and it will be submitted to the relevant authorities, related to canceling the decision. 128 to give enough space for the movement of this company."

The Minister of Commerce stated that "the file of Iraq's accession to the World Trade Organization has priority since we received the ministry," suggesting that "there are organizational problems related to the formation of ministries and the number of participants in this file."
He continued, "We started with the organizational change to join, and there are serious steps taken by the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Commerce with the relevant authorities for Iraq to join the organization."
Rising prices
The Minister of Commerce confirmed that "the rise in the prices of some commodities is related to the global rise in the market or transportation, as some countries began to return to the market again within the policy of openness after the closure they witnessed due to the Corona pandemic, and perhaps this increases the demand for products and thus leads to a global rise in markets."
He added, "There is a committee formed by the Ministerial Economic Council and another supporting technical committee also formed by the relevant authorities, in addition to the fact that the ministry formed a committee to study the rise in prices with the import rate," noting that "Iraq imports large quantities of goods and therefore their prices rise and this will affect directly in society, but we put the treatments in place for that."

The Minister of Commerce revealed that “there are two sides to control the prices of foodstuffs. The first includes the distribution of the ration card items, which will go to large groups in society and will sing from demand and purchase from the market, and thus a kind of stability will be achieved and this is what we witnessed in the month of Ramadan when two meals were distributed.” Pointing out that "the second part is that the Commercial Control Department, in coordination with the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Interior and National Security authorities, follows up on prices and provides proposals and indicators for these prices."
While the Minister of Industry and Trade in the region, Kamal Muslim Hussein, confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "there is joint cooperation and coordination with the Federal Ministry of Trade," explaining that "the amount of wheat planted in the region is sufficient and meets the needs of the citizen."
