    {Local: Al Furat News} The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of the Commission for Human Rights and the primary role it plays in following up the human rights file in the country.
    A statement by the Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic, of which {Al-Furat News} received a copy, stated that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received today, Wednesday, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, members of the Council of the High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq," stressing "the importance of the Commission and its fundamental role in Follow-up on the human rights file in the country, especially issues related to public rights and freedoms, and follow-up on prison files, freedom of expression, domestic violence, women's rights and components, the situation of the displaced and other important issues.
    Saleh commended the High Commission for Human Rights for obtaining the international classification (A), wishing the Commission more success, and to perform the tasks entrusted to it effectively and in a manner that serves the goal set for it in following up the human rights file in Iraq.
