Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee announced that the Civil Service Law will regulate the controls and conditions related to bonuses and promotions and the unification of the salary scale and allocations between ministries, while calling for the unification of employee allocations.
Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Majid Al-Waeli, told the official agency: “The Civil Service Law is one of the most important laws in the Finance Committee, as the legislative procedures of the Finance Committee were completed more than a year ago and it is within the inclusion of the Presidency of Parliament,” noting that “the Civil Service Law will regulate every Controls, conditions and restrictions related to bonuses, vacations, and promotions, as well as unifying the salary scale and allocations.”
He added, "Some employees move from one ministry to another, largely because it is attractive," explaining that "there are calls to unify the salary scale, which is originally standardized with the nominal salary for all in all ministries, but there is a difference in allocations from one ministry to another."
And he indicated, “The Civil Service Law contains nearly 100 articles, and there is one article related to the salary scale,” noting that “there is an opinion regarding the organization of the salary scale and allocations, and there is a consensus in the Finance Committee not to interfere with the details, but to set general standards.”
And he stated, “The differences between salaries should not exceed a certain limit; In order not to be big differences and to be organized accurately, as it was left to the Council of Ministers,” noting that “the Finance Committee addressed the Presidency of the House of Representatives about the reason for delaying its inclusion in the agenda, but it has not been included so far.”
