The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed, on Friday, that the draft civil service law would regulate the work of employees, their salaries and the appointments file.
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, said, "The Federal Civil Service Law regulates the work of employees in all Iraqi state departments," noting that "the law regulates the work of employees and their salaries and opens the areas for appointment, deletion, creation, identification and selection of department heads, which is a central law and needs to put more flexibility in order to limit leadership positions in one institution.
Cougar indicated, "Iraq has several laws to regulate the work of employees and a group of institutions, and they will be collected in one law," explaining that "the law was read first, and during the second reading, there will be several discussions within the House of Representatives and within the Finance Committee, and meetings with the relevant committees and with the segments." affected by the law, and meetings with specialists.
