Today, Tuesday, Planning Minister Khaled Battal revealed a move to prepare a program for family planning and determining births in Iraq, in what he considered a plan to address the housing crisis.
Battal said in a statement followed by "Yes Iraq", that "the increase in the population ratio in the country is one of the biggest problems that Iraq suffers from," noting that "the Higher Population Committee is heading to develop a program for the budget law for the year 2022 to organize the family and births."
He added, "To address the housing crisis, we will go towards family planning, and we will provide the necessary tools for the success of this by applying the rules of birth spacing."
And Battal indicated, "Some are allergic to fewer births and birth control, and we will address that in the coming period."
