    BAGHDAD (Reuters) - 
    Minister of Construction and Housing, Bankan Rikani, discussed with Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Fatih Yildiz the Turkish experience in the housing sector and how to benefit from it in Iraq. 
    "Building residential compounds will be one of the vital sectors in Iraq in the next phase," Yildiz said in a statement reported by Turkish news agencies. 
    He added: "We agreed with the Minister to work together to benefit from the experiences of Turkey in this sector." 
    It is noteworthy that the need of Iraq according to the latest statistics, estimated to approximately 3 million housing units at the rate of 250 thousand units per year to resolve the housing crisis.

    Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad Fatih Yildiz met on Friday with Minister of Construction, Housing and Municipalities Bengin Rikani.
    Yildiz said in a statement today, after the meeting that the construction of housing complexes will be one of the vital sectors in Iraq in the next stage.
    "We agreed with the minister to work together to benefit from Turkey's experience in this sector," he said.
    The estimated need for Iraq according to the latest statistics to nearly 3 million housing units at the rate of 250 thousand units annually to resolve the housing crisis.
