Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Salim Hamza, stressed, on Tuesday (September 21, 2021), the need to legislate a new civil service law that takes into account justice in the distribution of state wealth and capabilities among employees.
Hamza said, in a statement to  IQ News , that "the legal committee addressed the Council of Ministers on more than one occasion in order to legislate a new law for the civil service in Iraq, in line with the country's financial and economic changes."
He added, "The committee demanded a law that takes into account justice in distributing state salaries and capabilities among employees and finding a new salary scale."
And he indicated that "the current salary scale does not achieve justice among employees, as there are large differences in salaries that differ from one ministry to another, and we have tried hard to amend it by addressing the Council of Ministers, but this matter also did not happen."
