, the regional parliament member, Diyari Anwar, confirmed, on Monday, the continuation of major smuggling operations at the border crossings in Kurdistan.
Anwar said in an interview with Kurdish agencies, which was seen by Mawazine News, that "smuggling continues despite the government's announcement of sending security forces to control the outlets and reform the situation," noting that "the government's talk is nothing more than media propaganda only."
And they pointed out that "there are smuggling operations taking place on a large scale in all the ports that link the region with Turkey and Iran," explaining that "the money goes to the pockets of the influential in the ruling power parties, and the Baghdad government is not aware of it."
