"Progress" and "Azm" agree in Amman.. Al-Halbousi as Speaker of Parliament and Al-Khanjar as Vice President of the Republic
Shafaq News/ A political source revealed, on Wednesday, a preliminary agreement between the coalition "Progress" led by Muhammad al-Halbousi, and "Azm" led by Khamis al-Khanjar on the coalition with one "Sunni" list, noting that the agreement concluded in the Jordanian capital Amman includes the distribution of positions Due for the year between the leaders of the coalitions.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, "The two Sunni alliances agreed, during a series of discussions held in Amman, to unify the Sunni list by entering into one alliance, according to semi-final understandings," noting that "the alliance is awaiting the approval of the election results."
The source explained, "The understandings have reached advanced stages, and a final agreement may emerge from them, to be announced this evening," noting that "the agreement stipulates naming Muhammad al-Halbousi for the presidency of parliament once and for all, in exchange for naming Khamis al-Khanjar as the next vice president of the republic."
The source pointed out, "It was also agreed that the ministries of education and commerce would be part of the Azm coalition."
And the source continued, "The distribution of ministerial portfolios will be according to the points of each bloc, and they will be distributed according to the value of the position or ministerial portfolio."
