Today, Wednesday, Hadi al-Amiri, head of the Al-Fateh Alliance, affirmed that Iraq continues the issue of removing foreign forces from Iraq, while noting that no international party is allowed to interfere in the election results.
Al-Amiri's media office said in a statement received by the "National News Center", that "the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance Hadi Al-Amiri received today the Turkish ambassador, Ali Reza Günay, in his office in Baghdad," noting that "the two sides discussed the historical relations linking the two neighboring countries and the need to build strong relations with Turkey and resolve the issue." The differences and a statement of Iraq's seriousness in this, and the joint security situation between the two countries was also discussed.
"The two sides stressed the need to develop trade relations between the two countries and increase investment cooperation to create job opportunities," he added.
During the meeting, Al-Amiri stressed that “Iraq continues to issue all foreign forces’ expulsion, as the Iraqi constitution does not allow the presence of any non-Iraqi forces, and at the same time it does not allow any threat to the security of neighboring countries by armed groups opposed to their countries.”
Regarding the elections and internal files, Al-Amiri indicated that “the political forces objecting to the manipulation of the results are continuing to follow up the file with the competent judicial authority on appeals,” stressing that “there is no request or permission for any international party to interfere with the election results or any of the internal files.”
