On Thursday, a member of the Political Bureau of the Al-Hikma Movement, Fadi Al-Shammari, revealed part of the results of the meeting of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, and the coordination framework.
Al-Shammari said in a post followed by NRT Arabic, (December 2, 2021), that "the meeting of Shiite leaders is a national necessity to save Iraq from sliding into the abyss and internal fighting."
He added, "The meeting decided that the next prime minister would be by consensus, and the ministers would be eligible for election."
He continued, "The meeting dealt with talking about coming up with a unified vision to address the political blockage," noting that "the two gathered agreed that this meeting should not be the last, but rather it is a key to other meetings in which the points of contention between the Shiite forces are agreed upon."
He pointed out that "the meeting will pave the way for the formation of coordinating committees that will discuss the details related to forming the largest bloc," explaining that "the meeting agreed to form a joint committee to prepare a unified paper that will be the basis for a government program to be submitted to political partners and will be binding on the next government."
On Thursday, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, and the coordination framework reached an agreement on the next government.
The source stated to NRT Arabiya, (December 2, 2021), that "all parties agreed to form a joint committee to prepare a unified paper that will be the basis of a government program to be submitted to political partners and will be binding on the next government."
On Thursday, an official source denied the nomination of National Security Adviser Qassem al-Araji for the post of the next prime minister.
The source said in a statement to NRT Arabia (December 2, 2021), that "it is not correct to talk about choosing (Al-Araji) as a consensual candidate between Al-Sadr and the coordination framework," stressing that "this news is false."
On Thursday, the head of the Sadrist bloc, Hassan al-Adari, commented on the meeting of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, with the leaders of the coordination framework.
Al-Adari said in a tweet seen by NRT Arabiya (December 2, 2021), in which he said: "Al-Sadr and Al-Islah do not separate."
