     Baghdad: Batoul Al-Hasani

The value of what was recovered by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs amounted to 80 billion dinars from the violators of the protection network during the current year, who numbered 49,000 retirees and government employees.
The Minister of Labor, Adel Al-Rikabi, said: “Most of the violators were employees of state ministries, and the salaries of some of them were suspended, especially within the ministries of interior and defense, because their salaries are high and they can pay directly, while they were paid in installments to employees of ministries with low salaries.” He pointed out, "The ministry will continue the electronic automation project that includes networking and numbering programs to achieve justice in the social protection system and detect those who violate its salaries, and by adopting steps that preceded its implementation, the first of which is identifying government agencies that will be networked with, knowing their technological needs, monitoring gaps and raising the level of institutional performance."
Al-Rikabi added that "the second step includes activating the productive families program by empowering women economically, and linking it to conditional cash benefits in a way that ensures the continuation of children in education in addition to the health care system."
