    {Umniah: Al Furat News} A security source revealed that Iraqi tourist visa holders are prohibited from traveling to Iran through the Al-Sheeb border crossing.

    The source told Al-Furat News that: "It was decided to stop travel for holders of tourist visas to Iran from Al-Sheeb border crossing in Maysan."
    He pointed out, "Except for those who have residency in Iran. As for holders of a medical visa, only a request is sent through the hospital to be reviewed."
     On Saturday, the General Customs Police in Iran decided to close its land borders for a period of 15 days due to fears of the outbreak of the new mutant "Omicron", starting from today, December 25, 2021.
    A spokesman for the customs police, Ruhollah Latifi, said in a press statement that: "Iran has decided to close Its land borders are in front of tourists from Iraq and the Kurdistan region for a period of 15 days as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the transgenic "Omicron".
    According to Iranian websites , he added, "
    Latifi explained, "Iran's land borders will be closed to Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Pakistan," noting that "traffic will be normal only for people who hold permanent residence cards or have a study, health or commercial visa."
