Jordanian politician Muhammad Ahmad Al-Rousan revealed, on Tuesday, the pressure exerted by Gulf states on Iraqi Sunni forces in order to accept Iraq’s normalization with the Zionist entity.
Al-Rousan said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", that "the Emirati intelligence and the Saudi intelligence service, in coordination with Sunni forces, specifically the Advance bloc headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi, and the Azm Alliance headed by Khamis al-Khanjar, in agreement with the Kurdish component, pushed for the election of al-Halbousi as speaker of the Iraqi parliament."
He added, "There are unclear goals of the Alliance of Progress and Resolve, which is normalization with the Zionist entity and tampering with the Iraqi political process, which is not in the interest of the Iraqi people, especially if the current Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi returns."
The representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ahmed Rahim, had previously warned of a political scheme aimed at dragging Iraq towards normalization with the Zionist entity, pointing out that what is happening in the political process represents preludes to the application of normalization. finished/25 h
