    [rtl]Baghdad-Iraq Today:

An informed political source revealed the reason for the retreat of political forces representing the Sunni component from calling for the dismissal of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, stressing the existence of a political agreement in this regard. [/rtl]

[rtl]The source, who preferred not to be named, said in a press interview, "A number of active political forces representing the Sunni component have retracted their demand for the removal of the leader of the Progressive Alliance, Muhammad al-Halbousi, from the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives.”[/rtl]
[rtl] He added, "Al-Halbousi will remain in his position until the end of the current parliamentary session, and there is a political agreement in this regard." [/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out, "The agreement also includes the failure of Al-Halbousi to assume the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives in its next session and not to claim the position," pointing to "the existence of international interference in this regard. "[/rtl]
[rtl] Last July, the leader of the Azm Alliance, Haider Al-Mulla, stated that there was a dialogue within the Sunni political house, describing it as "serious and mature" to remove Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi from his post. In early May, the Secretary-General of the Al-Watan Party, Yazan Mishaan al-Jubouri, announced the formation of a new political alliance that would bring together the Sovereignty Alliance led by Khamis al-Khanjar, without the presence of the Taqaddam party led by the current Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi.[/rtl]
