The Border Ports Authority announced today, Wednesday, the seizure of two containers whose "important" papers were forged in their customs transactions at the Munthiriya border port.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the authority said, "The Directorate of Al-Mandhiriya border port was able to seize two containers outside the customs campus containing material (iron pipes) in violation of the terms and controls of import intended for smuggling."
She added, "Through the detection of the goods and the audit of the customs transaction completed by the Munthiriya Customs Center, it was found that there was forgery in the certificate of origin, the invoice, and the validation letter in an attempt to evade paying the real customs fee, which caused a waste of public money."
She pointed out, "Organizing a fundamental seizure report and referring the wheels, seizure records, and customs transactions to the Komark Police Station, Al-Mandhariyeh, to present the matter before the investigative judge's attention to take legal measures against violators." Ended 29/N33
