The Border Ports Authority announced today, Saturday, the seizure of 14 containers in violation of import terms and controls in the northern port of Umm Qasr.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the authority said, "The Northern Port of Umm Qasr Port Directorate, under the follow-up of the head of the Border Ports Authority, Major General Omar Al-Waeli, was able to seize 14 containers in violation of import terms and controls, after obtaining the approval of the investigative judge and forming a committee for this purpose in cooperation and coordination with Umm Qasr Al Shamali Customs Center.
And she explained, "By examining the seized container, it was found that it contained (production lines, spare tools, various laboratories, medical supplies and spare tools for cars).
The authority pointed out, "to form a committee, organize a fundamental seizure report, and refer the materials to the judiciary to take legal measures against violators." Ended 29/N33
