The Federal Court is scheduled to hold a session this morning, Wednesday, to consider the two cases filed to challenge the constitutionality of the first session of the House of Representatives in its fifth session.
Legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi said in an interview with the official "Al-Sabah" newspaper, followed by Mawazine News, that "all possibilities are contained in the Federal Court's decision, which will be issued today, to stop the work of the Presidency of Parliament or not."
Al-Tamimi added, “The court’s decision is one of the decisions that are based on a request on the petition without pleading or informing the other party, and without prejudice to the origin of the right, and it is closer to administrative decisions, and this matter is considered suspended until the final case is decided upon. Either Uphold or cancel it according to the final judgment decision.
And he indicated that "the decision of the Federal Court in accordance with Article 94 of the Constitution, does not affect the constitutional dates, unless a decision is issued to annul the first session, as we will be in front of electing a new Presidency of Parliament at the invitation of the President of the Republic within 15 days according to Article 55 of the Constitution, and if the Court responds The case, the constitutional deadlines will remain unchanged."
