Legal expert: (In The Event of) The lack of quorum for the first parliamentary session will lose its legitimacy
The legitimacy of the first parliamentary session scheduled to be held tomorrow, the completion of the quorum, asserting that in the event of non-completion of the President will be obliged to set another date for its convening
He said support for “Al-Ghad Press”, “The expected session of the parliament will be a protocol session in the event of a quorum of half plus one of the attendance, and if the quorum is a meeting will be lost to constitutional legitimacy.”
“It will be necessary for the President of the Republic to set another date for the meeting to be held not to exceed the constitutional period by fifteen days.”
However, if the quorum is completed by half plus one, the speaker of the parliament and his deputies will be elected. The nomination of the president of the republic will be opened within three days. If there is an appeal to the presidential candidates, the appeals will be sent to the Federal Court for consideration within three days. The President of the Republic, which assigns the largest bloc to put the name of the Prime Minister within fifteen days from the date of the election of the President of the Republic.
He pointed out that “may not make the plenary session quorum open based on the provisions of the Federal Court decision.”
