Dollar sales rise in the Central Bank of Iraq auction
Shafaq News/ Cash sales of the dollar currency increased in the Central Bank of Iraq auction, today, Wednesday, to reach more than 80 million dollars.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank witnessed an increase in its sales by 6.67% of the dollar, to reach 208 million and 935 thousand US dollars, which the bank covered at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to yesterday, Tuesday. The sales amounted to 195 million, 313 thousand and 251 dollars.
Our correspondent added that the bank's cash sales of dollars rose today to 80 million and 460 thousand dollars compared to the previous day, in which cash sales amounted to 44 million dollars, while the rest of 128 million and 475 thousand dollars went to strengthen balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits.
Our correspondent indicated that 28 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, 19 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 278 mediation companies.
