The diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE, Anwar Gargash, commented on a statement by the prominent Iraqi Shiite cleric Muqtada Al-Sadr about the attacks on the UAE a few days ago.
In a tweet, Gargash described al-Sadr's position as rational and "in line with the principle of the sanctity of the sovereignty and independence of states."
The Emirati official continued in his tweet, "The difference in political issues is natural. Good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries are constants that guarantee the security and stability of the region. The logic of the state is based on the opposite of the destructive logic of militias."
