    Today, Wednesday, Hakim Al-Zamili, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, revealed that the Parliament is interested in the Iraqi Media Network.
    In a statement issued by his media office, Al-Zamili stressed that no executive body should be allowed to interfere or try to influence the institutions linked to the House of Representatives, especially the Iraqi Media Network.
    The statement stated, "Al-Zamili conducted a field visit to the headquarters of the Iraqi Media Network and the Board of Trustees, during which he met the head of the network, Dr. Nabil Jassim, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Jaafar Al-Wanan, and a number of members of the Board of Trustees."
    The statement added, "Al-Zamili noted, during a meeting held at the network's building, that his visit today, as his first field station, is evidence that the House of Representatives is interested in the network as a top priority for the establishment of a professional and advanced state media as a key and founding partner in the political process," noting that "no party is allowed to executive to intervene in the work and affairs of institutions linked to the legislative authority, especially the media network.
    And he added, "Al-Zamili listened, during his meeting with a number of network employees, to their requests related to distributing residential plots and fixing contracts according to legal frameworks, and promised to follow up on these files with the concerned authorities and resolve them as soon as possible," calling on "the network management to work in a team spirit to correct previous mistakes." overcoming challenges.”
    According to the statement, Al-Zamili called for “giving priority in the state’s media to people’s concerns and suffering, and criticizing negative issues and phenomena through awareness programmes,” stressing that “the role of the media in addressing many of the problems that society suffers from may be parallel in importance to the security role; Because it offers treatments and solutions.”
