Today, Friday, the joint committee between the Sadrist movement and Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq held its first meeting in Maysan Governorate, to remedy the security situation and ward off strife in the governorate.
Yesterday, Thursday, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced the dispatch of a "high-level delegation" to Maysan Governorate, to end "the strife between the movement and Asaib."
According to a statement by Al-Sadr, the delegation consists of "Awn Abdul-Nabi, Hazem Al-Araji, and Muayyad Al-Asadi."
Al-Sadr threatened to "innocence both sides" and withdraw his hand if they did not cooperate to "end the strife."
