    On Monday, the Ministry of Planning announced the completion of 1,836 schools throughout the Iraqi governorates during the past year 2021.

    And the ministry stated in a statement that "Nass" received a copy of it, (February 28, 2022), that "the number of implemented and completed schools during the past year amounted to about (1836) schools in all governorates," noting that "the completed buildings included kindergartens, primary, middle and middle schools." As well as building classrooms and administrative suites.   
      
    She added that "the completed schools were distributed among the various governorates, led by Basra Governorate, with 444 schools, followed by Nineveh Governorate, with 346 schools, then the capital, Baghdad, with 214 schools, then Anbar Governorate, with 176 schools, Babil Governorate, with 121 schools, Maysan, 119 schools, and Muthanna 79." school, then Wasit Governorate with 67 schools, Diwaniyah 60 schools and Diyala 58 schools.   
      
    She also explained, "While the share of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations was 57 schools, the Najaf Governorate witnessed the completion of 51 schools, Dhi Qar 38 schools, and Karbala Governorate ranked last in the number of completed schools, which amounted to only 6 schools."
