    Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Industry and Minerals confirmed that national products conform to specifications and are subject to standardization and quality control, while pointing to contracts with local and foreign companies to produce environmentally friendly industries.
    The ministry's media office told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the dependence of the electrical industries sector and the rest of the other industrial sectors on production requirements imported from abroad, was reflected in the cost of production, as well as dumping the markets with imported goods and merchandise." 
    He added, "The national products, especially the products of the Ministry of Industry companies, conform to the standard specifications and are subject to the examinations of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, in addition to its high quality excellence and its competition with the importer."
    He stressed that "the Iraqi citizen has come to realize that the local product provides major economic benefits to the family, as well as providing job opportunities, preserving funds inside the country, and recycling them in other development projects that contribute to real development," stressing the need to "exploit this national sense of the Iraqi individual." As the best promotional process for all national products, through the concerted efforts of all government institutions, civil society organizations, visual, print and audio media, social media, and clerics to take their national role in supporting the national product and encouraging the slogan “Made in Iraq” through continuous awareness campaigns and local opinion making supports the national industry. 
    He continued, "The ministry has recently taken upon itself to support green industries that are environmentally friendly, by concluding investment contracts with Iraqi and foreign private sector companies to produce products and provide new services that keep pace with the current global development and enhance national industrial development by introducing production lines and previously unknown technologies." For new products that society needs with the acceleration of modernity and progress globally.”
