    Information / Baghdad..
The Gulf Football Association announced that its delegation will visit Iraq and the city of Basra in particular next Friday, stressing that the decision to host the “Gulf 25” championship will be decided at the end of next June.
The Federation stated in a statement that “a meeting in the Executive Office of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, chaired by the President of the Federation, Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, discussed the topics on the agenda, including the adoption of the statute of the Federation, the amendments that occurred to the regulation, discussion of the calendar for the next stage, and review.” On the report of the visit of the delegation of the Inspection Committee to Kuwait.
The Secretary-General of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, Jassem Sultan Al-Rumaihi, said, according to the statement, that "the meeting discussed the federation's calendar for the coming period and the adoption of the statute and some amendments to its regulations, as well as the report of the delegation of the Kuwait Inspection Committee."
He added that "the delegation of the inspection committee for Gulf installations (25) will visit Iraq and the city of Basra in particular next Friday and will continue until Sunday."
Regarding the previous visit to Kuwait, the Secretary-General stressed that "the visit to Kuwait is a normal visit and according to the directives of the Executive Office and the General Assembly of the Federation, which provides for a visit to the country that will host the tournament and the alternative country."
And he indicated that "the visit to Kuwait is not, as was raised about it in the media, that the 25th Gulf Cup will be transferred to Kuwait, as the goal is to ensure the readiness of the two countries, candidates for the primary and alternative hosting, according to the contexts and controls of the tournament."
Al-Rumaihi explained that “the final decision will be before June 30 of this year to resolve the issue of hosting, and we hope that Iraq will host the tournament because the Iraqi street needs it.” End / 25
