Earth News/ Kurdistan Democratic Party deputy, Mahma Khalil, confirmed today, Thursday, that Saturday's session will witness the end of the political blockage and the beginning of steps to form a government.
Khalil said in a statement received by Earth News, that "the political forces must resolve the parliament session that will be held next Saturday, devoted to voting on the President of the Republic."
Khalil added, "Saturday's session is decisive, and represents a national entitlement, and it is not in anyone's interest to disrupt it," noting that "the Iraqi people are waiting for the passage and birth of the government in a manner consistent with the circumstances and data of what the region is going through."
Khalil added, "Everyone must realize that the session is not for the sake of a particular party or party, but for the sake of the people of Iraq, their safety and security, the provision of services, the realization of the people's aspirations and their rights, and it is the duty of everyone to ensure these rights and entitlements."
Khalil indicated, "The passing of the President of the Republic will speed up legislation and passing the budget that all segments of society are waiting for, especially as we are approaching the blessed month of Ramadan."
