    , Adviser to the Prime Minister for Financial Affairs, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, confirmed today, Friday, that the issuance of the pension fund system for teachers and workers in universities and private colleges will guarantee the appointment of holders of higher degrees.
    Saleh told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The approval of the Council of Ministers to issue this system is an advanced step towards building modern foundations for social security in the country, and it is going in the right direction," noting that "this law will help stabilize young cadres in private university activity to ensure Appointment of holders of higher degrees to work in colleges, universities and private institutes.
    He added that "the fund comes within the framework of an advanced strategy to strengthen social security in Iraq, especially the preservation of high-level human energies of graduate degree holders," he suggested.
    And Saleh added, "This step comes from an important gradual policy in building the elements of social security for market forces in Iraq, according to which pension funds are optimally managed and considered as investment funds whose resources can be loaned with specific ceilings to the affiliates themselves, maximizing the resources of the fund itself and optimally supporting its financial returns. He pointed out that "the rumor of such funds affects the activities and social segments of the organized market economy through a comprehensive ten-year national plan for professions and working groups, and its inclusion in all pension funds for those who wish them."
    The Council of Ministers had approved the issuance of the system of pension fund for teachers and workers in universities, colleges and private institutes, which was audited by the State Council, based on the provisions of Clause Three of Article (80) of the Constitution, and Article (45) of the Civil Higher Education Law (25 of 2016). Taking into consideration the notes of the legal department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers confirmed by its memorandum numbered (MD / S/2/2/67 LQ) dated February 28, 2022.
