The economic expert, Nabil Al-Ali, confirmed, on Thursday, that the region’s official and unofficial outlets have become a threat to the Iraqi economy, as well as dumping the markets with corrupt goods and merchandise that have greater damage than the central treasury’s access to the outlets’ revenues, attributing this to the loss of the federal government’s control or its complicity with the region.

Al-Ali said in a statement to "The Information", that "the issue of border crossings inside the Kurdistan region has not been controlled for a long time, and that previous governments after 2003 were unable to impose their centralization, even though they are constitutionally and legally subject to the federal government."
He added that "the region, in a approximate way, is obtained from official outlets only, within the limits of (500) million dollars or more. As for the unofficial outlets, which are controlled by the power parties in the region, they did not send the government a single cent."
Al-Ali warned that “the most dangerous problem does not lie in how much the central treasury obtains from the ports’ resources, but rather the region’s lack of commitment to the customs fees set by the federal government, as the region’s ports reduce and reduce customs fees, which prompts merchants to head towards the region’s ports to enter goods and merchandise.”
And he continued: “The other damage is related to opening the doors of the region to corrupt and consumed goods and goods and dumping them in the market, not to mention the operations of entering poor quality wheat and selling it to the government at subsidized prices as a local production. With all that, the responsibility rests with the central government.” End / 25 AD.
