Nechirvan Barzani congratulates journalists and calls for constructive criticism that "corrects mistakes" to improve the Kurdistan Region experience
Shafaq News/ The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani congratulated, on Friday, the Kurdish Press Day, the 125th anniversary of the publication of the first issues of Kurdistan newspaper by Prince Miqdad Medhat Badrakhan, and the twenty-fourth anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate.
The head of the region said in a statement, "On this anniversary, we remember with reverence and reverence the memory of all the journalists of Kurdistan who served in the various stages of the Kurdistan journalistic field, during the era of the revolution and after liberation, and performed their tasks efficiently and professionally, and some of them gave their spirit in this way."
He added, "On this occasion, we affirm our position in support of democracy and freedoms, freedom of the press and expression, human rights and the rule of law, which are the main pillars of every free and advanced society, and the people of Kurdistan struggled for it, struggled and sacrificed blood and lives, and for this reason they will never abandon them, and we are as we pledged We will always protect it with all our might.”
The President of the Region also stressed "the value and importance of journalism and journalistic work, and that journalists always take into account competence and professionalism, perform their tasks responsibly and in the correct manner, convey the facts conscientiously and as they are, and put the supreme interest of the country above everything, and to appoint through constructive criticism and observations the national bodies and institutions on Correct mistakes and improve the experience of the Kurdistan Region.
