The Iraqi Stock Exchange records trading of more than two billion dinars
Shafaq News/ The Iraq Stock Exchange announced on Thursday that it had traded more than one billion shares, with a financial value of more than two billion dinars.
The market said in a report seen by Shafak News Agency, "The number of companies whose shares were traded today, Thursday, reached 35 joint-stock companies, while the shares of 48 companies were not traded due to the lack of convergence of purchase orders prices with sales orders, while the number of suspended companies reached 14 companies for not providing disclosure out of 103 companies listed on the market.
He added that "the number of traded shares amounted to one billion and 223 million shares, with a financial value of two billion and 114 million dinars, through the implementation of 609 deals," noting that "the ISX60 traded price index closed at 571.62 points."
He pointed out that the number of shares purchased from non-Iraqi investors in the market amounted to 228 million shares, with a financial value of 271 million dinars, through the implementation of 52 deals on shares of 3 companies, while the number of shares sold from non-Iraqi investors in the market reached 159 million shares, with a value of 501 million. dinars through the implementation of 189 transactions on the shares of 5 companies.
He explained that the most profitable company is the Mosul Bank Company, with a change of 9.09%, followed by Al-Amin Insurance Company, with a change of 9.09%, while the most profitable company was the production of ready-made garments, with a rate of -9.93%, followed by the Gulf Bank Company, with a change of -6.25%.
The Iraqi Stock Exchange organizes five trading sessions a week from Sunday to Thursday, and includes 103 Iraqi joint stock companies representing the sectors of banking, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism and hotels.
