    Today, Monday, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein revealed the details of talks with the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan.


    This morning, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Jordanian Ayman Safadi arrived in Baghdad.

    Hussein said in a press conference, which was attended by Alsumaria News correspondent, that "the visit of the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan comes within the context of ongoing discussions on issues related to the three countries and the region.






    He added, "The current stage in which we face many challenges, especially the global challenge of confronting the Corona virus, in addition to the challenge of the Russian-Ukrainian war," adding: "Although the war is taking place in Europe, its effects are reverberating on the entire region."

    He referred to "studying the effects of the dimensions of this war on the political and economic situation in the region, its impact on the energy crisis, and the impact of this economic inflation on Arab societies."

    Hussein continued, "It was discussed how to work jointly in facing these challenges, in the tripartite framework, as well as discussing work between the sectoral ministries between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan, in addition to addressing the importance of building economic integration and facing the threat of food security."


    In this context, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, indicated that "his visit to Iraq is an opportunity to enhance tripartite cooperation," stressing that "the goal of the tripartite framework is to support Iraq."

    In an interview during the conference, Shoukry said, "We are working to strengthen Iraq's position and restore its position in the region and the world. We also look forward to continued work and coordination between the three countries, and we are working to form a unified vision to face challenges."

    The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed that "the electrical connection between the three countries has reached advanced stages."

    For his part, Jordan's Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, stressed "to continue the tripartite cooperation between Baghdad, Amman and Cairo," stressing his country's support for Iraq "to face its challenges," saying: "Iraq's security is our security."

    He continued, "We have agreed with Iraq on the electrical connection, and the supply will start at the beginning of next year," noting that "90 percent of the industrial city was launched."
