Politics is the art of the possible, the verifiable, and the art of the best that is available, as the German leader, Otto Bismarck, said more than 150 years ago, but in Iraq it is the art of removing the competitor, by any means, including deception, forgery and murder.

With a quick look at the political history of Iraq over a century of time, one finds nothing but the struggle for power, which led to heavy human losses that cost the country dearly, without the combatants, their sons or grandchildren and their descendants learning the Lessons from the struggles of the past, ancient and modern.

This simply means that the culture of “uprooting the other” is politically and socially well-established, and there is no challenge to it, or questioning its feasibility, or seeking to get rid of it, by community leaders, thinkers and wise men, And there is still no review of the losses incurred by the Iraqi people during a century, as a result of these The destructive culture, and how many politicians, thinkers, local, officers, experts, poets and journalists have Iraq lost, whether by visually liquidating them, throwing them in prisons, or pushing them to emigrate.

Unless this culture changes, or the parties reach, and they are more than we imagine, even the members of one party are in fact and not allies, but they are pacifying until the appropriate opportunity arises to pounce on each other, unless they reach an understanding about the exchange of power, or a formula for its exchange. Peacefully, and respecting the rights of violators to live and work freely and without fear, Iraq will continue its retrograde course, which began since the departure of the founder of the modern state, King Faisal I in 1933.

For more than eight months, the enemy parties in Iraq have been fighting for power, and they have exercised all their constitutional, legal and political arguments, and reinforced them with missiles and drones, and sometimes threatening more of them, in order to "convince" “each other that the only solution is for the armed men to divide them, victorious. They were a loser, like the cake of Iraq, and let the others, that is, the majority of the people, go to the fate that awaits them, which is poverty, marginalization, lost opportunities and lack of hope.

The last thing that happened in Iraq is that the biggest winner in the elections, the Sadrist bloc, decided to withdraw from the political process, and its leader, Muqtada al-Sadr, even threatened that he would not even participate in the upcoming elections” if the corrupt participate in it.” And certainly no one can prevent the corrupt From participating in the elections, firstly because they are armed, and secondly because they enjoy the support of another country, which is very keen on the sovereignty, independence and well-being of Iraq's people, and has never seek to weaken it. The “guardian of the Muslims” in the world, and entrusts its armed forces with “divine tasks” to support the “weak people on earth”!

The religious authority, which the armed groups claim to follow its instructions and obey its advice, hastened to exonerate itself from the failure, corruption and power struggle that happened in Iraq. Ahmed al-Safi, the representative of the reference Ali al-Sistani, said in a final speech to him that the reference's advice was clear, “but there are those who turned a deaf ear to it,” in a reference that was interpreted as Referring to the former Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, who is believed to be running for a new term, although he did not announce it personally.

The expert in religious affairs, Rahim Abu Ragheef, said in a recent interview broadcast by the Iraqi Al-Sharqiya channel, that the religious authority does not follow the principle of (guardianship of the jurist) prevailing in Iran, and it does not interfere in political affairs, but rather provides advice at times when the political situation enters into “Areas of danger.” .

But the problem faced by the Iraqis is that the groups supported by Iran pay lip service to religion and doctrine, and claim to follow the instructions and advice of the religious authority, and raise pictures of the Sistani reference in their headquarters and banners, and use them for propaganda in the elections, specifically the first and second elections, which led many voters to believe that the religious authority supports these groups indeed, and it is recommended to vote for them, and this is what these groups claimed in their speeches and publications, and therefore millions of voters, voted for these groups that were not known, as they have been in Iran and Syria for more than two decades.

In the first elections, in which Al-Sistani's pictures were raised in the coalition's electoral campaign, the leader of the Islamic Dawa Party, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, became prime minister. Among his propaganda publications was a poster in which a prayer was published, next to his picture, raising his hands in supplication, as evidence of piety and piety. Al-Jaafari was not the only one among the candidates of the Shiite alliance who put this verse or others next to his picture and electoral number, even secularist Ahmed Chalabi put the picture of Sistani in his electoral campaign after he was expelled from the political alliance .

In the second elections, religious symbols were used more intensely, bearing in mind that the law prohibits the use of religious symbols. The main poster for the electoral campaign of the alliance bore a large picture of Sistani, with the distinguished list number 555, which is supposed to have come through the lottery, but it seems that it was carefully chosen, while The lottery was used to deceive the public.

As a result, many ministers voted for the coalition, and the leader of the Islamic Dawa Party, Nuri al-Maliki, became prime, after months of power struggle between the forces, and he remained for two consecutive terms, and during his reign the discourse discourse reached its height, especially after he called himself the nickname The “Mukhtar of the Age” stated from Karbala that the conflict in Iraq is between “the grandchildren of Yazid and the grandchildren of Hussein”!

As for the fourth elections, the leader of the Dawa Party, Haider al-Abadi, became prime minister, after a conflict between him and al-Maliki that began after the elections and continued throughout his time in power. Through his influence in Parliament, al-Maliki was able to dismiss the ministers of finance and defense in al-Abadi's government, Hoshyar Zebari and Khaled Al-Obaidi. However, al-Abadi records that he was able to restore national cohesion and recover the areas that fell under the control of terrorist groups. However, he remained a prisoner of political conflicts, and during his reign, the militias took over and their presence became official, as Parliament enacted a law to absorb them into the “Popular Mobilization” device, and they became funded from public money, although they act outside the framework of the state.

In the fifth elections, the leader of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, was chosen as prime minister, and so far no one knows how he was chosen, and which bloc nominated him! The Supreme Council was established in Iran in the early eighties and was headed by Mahmoud Shahroudi, who later became head of the judiciary in Iran. The Council changed its name after returning to Iraq five years to the (Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq), and then changed the name again to (The Wisdom Movement) in 2017, while some of its members retained the previous name, including Adel Abdul- Mahdi. This group, like all other groups, changed its name at the time of the elections, from (the movement of the martyr of the mihrab), to (the citizen) and then (the wisdom)!

During the era of Abdul-Mahdi's government, the people rose up against corruption, failure and dependency, which prompted them to resign, but after the intervention of the Sistani authority, after the killing of hundreds of young demonstrators in the squares of Baghdad, Basra , Nasiriyah, Najaf, Karbala, Hilla, Diwaniyah and other cities, the Minister of Defense said at the time that “a third party He is the one who killed the demonstrators, while the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zeidan, denied in a recent interview that there was a third party, saying that there are only two parties, the demonstrators and the security services.

This is evidence provided by the highest judicial authority in Iraq that it was the Iraqi official agencies that killed the demonstrators, and that they certainly did not do so without orders from the highest authority in the state, which is the Prime Minister. However, the murderers of the young men were not held accountable, nor were they questioned, as if the matter did not matter.

Since they took power in 2005, the forces that claim to be religious and sect, which have practiced deception, theft, murder, extortion and corruption, have managed to consolidate their authority and influence in Iraq and have begun to deploy their armed men anywhere they want, killing, kidnapping and blackmailing citizens who reject their approach and dominance over the capabilities of the state. He insisted on participating in power despite the people's rejection of it, thus bringing the political process to a dead end, which prompted the Sadrist bloc's deputies to resign from Parliament and plunged the country into a crisis deeper than the previous one.

This resignation emptied the political process of any popular legitimacy it had gained through the elections. The first winner deserted political action, and considered his opponents corrupt and unworkable. It is true that it is possible to replace the resignationed representatives with replacements from the losers, which Parliament to complete, but everyone knows that the replacements are not winners, and they were not the first choice of the people, so they do not have the moral legitimacy and no one will be convinced that they have the right to rule in the name of the people.

Convincing and acceptable solutions to this crisis are few, the first of which is for the remaining forces in Parliament to agree to form a government of qualified experts, experienced in government work and familiar with international relations, and who do not aspire to assume political positions in the future, in order to lead the country in the next stage and prepare it for fair and transparent elections. Armed groups do not participate in it, and every group has an armed arm. Politicians bearing arms violate the constitution, and transgress against democratic values and the freedom of voters to choose without coercion.

There is no doubt that the position of the religious reference not to interfere in political affairs is widely welcomed, and it is consistent historically and jurisprudentially with its previous positions, and it is appreciated by most Iraqis, but this time it bears an additional responsibility, as these groups came to power and managed to dominate the country Because of its reliance on religion and doctrine, and its claim to follow the path of reference.

Therefore, it has become necessary for the reference, as the spiritual authority that represents religion, to intervene to protect the Iraqi people and the Iraqi state from being lost, and we should not forget that these groups are working for the benefit of another state whose interests conflict with the interests of Iraq. The words of the reference are heard. It is the one who removed Al-Jaafari, Al-Maliki and Abdul-Mahdi from power, and it can strip the armed groups of the religious legitimacy they claim. Otherwise, the Iraqi crisis will worsen, especially with the intensification of popular anger over the positions of these groups and their struggle for power, without regard for the public interest or the future of Iraq.
