Today, Tuesday, the House of Representatives Education Committee confirmed the application of the emergency food security and development law regarding lecturers, while it counted the numbers covered by the law.
Committee member Haider Al-Hasnawi said, "The Federal Ministry of Education sent the data for calculating the financial costs of the lecturers to the Ministry of Finance with the aim of implementing Resolution 315 in accordance with the Emergency Support Law for Food Security and Development."
Al-Hasnawi added, "The number of lecturers covered by the decision is 260 thousand lecturers and administrators," noting that "the file of lecturers and administrators is one."
He stressed that "the amount of their transfer to Resolution 315 amounts to 450 billion dinars," noting that "the decision's entry into force and depends on the approval of the law by the Presidency of the Republic."
He continued, "The Ministry of Education is now preparing the lists, digital data, and costs."
And earlier, Finance Minister Ali Allawi confirmed, "The emergency support law added a trillion to settle the file of lecturers and treat them according to Resolution 315," noting that "the law does not include confirming contracts or lecturers, but only adapting them."
