The Ministry of Electricity confirmed today, Friday, its endeavor to increase the daily production to 24,000 megawatts, while stressing that this depends on the increase in Iranian gas flows, which will allow the introduction of new stations to operate and increase the hours of processing.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Moussa, said, "The current production volume of energy is about twenty thousand megawatts per day, and this number still does not meet the total need, and we are waiting for an increase in gas emissions to increase production."
He added, "Iraq has paid the full amount of the overdue debt to the Iranian side, and we informed them of our need for between 50-55 million cubic meters per day, and the amount currently received is still around 40 million cubic meters. processing hours.
