A member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ahmed Harki, confirmed, on Wednesday, that the opposition blocs will not be able to form the blocking third in the next session.
"The Sovereignty Alliance or the Kurdistan Democratic Party cannot form the blocking third in the next parliamentary session, especially since al-Halbousi attended various sessions after the withdrawal of the Sadrist movement," Harki said in an interview with the "Information" agency.
He added, "The National Union is within the decisiveness of its candidate, especially since there are deputies in the Sovereignty Alliance who will vote for the Union's candidate."
The coordination framework announced the day before yesterday that Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani was presented as a candidate for prime minister, and also called on the Kurdish parties to resolve their candidate for the presidency of the Republic.
