13 independent deputies: We support political initiatives and seek to amend the constitution
In a statement received by Shafak News Agency, the independent deputies said, "Due to the developments of the situation and the current national crisis, in order to preserve civil peace and not drag the country into chaos, we affirm that addressing the crisis requires a comprehensive national dialogue that differs from the previous dialogues in which all political and societal forces participate without exception and marginalization from In order to reach a comprehensive solution that serves the general interest of the people."
The statement added, "We support initiatives in this regard, provided that these initiatives include a clear difference in previous behaviors and methodologies, and that they proceed from constitutional institutions," stressing, "At the same time, we seek to amend some provisions of the constitution, which were an obstacle to political development, and that the amendment meets the demands of The people reject quotas and hold the spoilers accountable.”
